Fact finding mission to PakistanAs soon as we heard about the floods in Pakistan and its drastic effect on millions of people we decided at one of our staff meetings to send a member of the staff to be with the churches and NCCP rather than send a letter of solidarity. That responsibility was allocated to me as this particular area of work is overseen by CCA/JID. Our aim was to show solidarity in words, deeds and by our presence. In a sense I was a symbolic presence in Pakistan on behalf of all the member Churches of CCA. This decision of the staff was recognized by the members of the Executive committee when they met in Chiang Mai from August 25-27, 2010.
